ICS AB accredited laboratory since 1997
To perform inspection or testing with uncalibrated measuring and testing equipment is to guess the result. An expensive instrument with great precision can be a necessary condition for an accurate measurement, but does not in itself constitute a guarantee for the accuracy of the measurement. Maintenance, inspection and calibration, based on calibrated standards, is therefore an activity of fundamental importance.
Background
ICS AB has calibrated tensile testing equipment since the mid-eighties. Over time, the requirements have tightened and in the mid-nineties we decided to invest in an accreditation of our business. In April 1997 we were ready and approved by SWEDAC. We are listed as lab no. 1515 in Sweden's Measurement Place Calendar.
How is it done?
Our accreditation means that SWEDAC, Sweden's national authority for technical accreditation, has reviewed and approved our competence, among other things, against the requirements of ISO / IEC 17025. To help, SWEDAC has an expert independent technical assessor who reviews our methods and references. The accreditation is audited once a year by SWEDAC and / or technical assessors. Accreditation can be withdrawn if the requirements are not met or key people leave.

Handling of complaints sent to ICS AB.
- Complaints to ICS AB must be submitted in writing.
- The person who received the complaint registers it according to our deviation management.
- The recipient notifies the company management regarding the complaint
- The company management appoints the person or persons who investigate the complaint. However, they must not be involved in the laboratory activity to which the complaint relates.
- The appointees investigate if the complaint concerns a laboratory activity for which ICS AB is responsible, if this is the case, the appointees investigate the complaint.
- A confirmation is sent to the customer that ICS AB has received the complaint and if we consider that the complaint concerns laboratory activity for which ICS AB is responsible.
- The appointees gather facts regarding the complaint and complete the follow-up according to our deviation management.
- The company management is responsible for ensuring that appropriate measures are taken and that the customer is informed of the measures that we have decided to implement.
